Alma Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of Alma Petroli, handling all activities of the Alma Petroli Group not related to the refining business.
The registered office of Alma Services is in Ravenna, while the operational headquarters are located in Genoa.
Currently, the core business of Alma Services relates to activities associated with Vetting (on behalf of Alma Petroli S.p.A., which is an OCIMF SIRE Submitting Member) and the trading of Bunker Fuels.
SERVICES
VETTING INSPECTIONS
Since 2017, we have implemented a Vetting Acceptance Policy aimed at ensuring that vessels chartered or otherwise intended to operate for Alma Petroli meet minimum safety requirements. Starting from November 2019, as an OCIMF SIRE Submitting Member, we began conducting SIRE inspections. The purpose of our services is to contribute to the increased safety of vessels engaged in the transportation of hazardous goods (crude oil and petroleum products, chemicals, gas, etc.).
The activities related to Vetting, by increasing attention to all aspects related to the protection of human life and the environment, aim to minimize the risks associated with maritime transportation (pollution, explosions, and other types of incidents).
As of May 1st, 2021, we have entrusted all Vetting-related activities to Alma Services.
BUNKER FUELS TRADING
Alma Services has initiated a bunker fuel trading activity. Alma Services purchases bunker fuel from producers to supply ships, with a worldwide perspective.
