It focuses in particular on vetting and screening of crude oil tankers, both on its own behalf and on behalf of other refining companies, with the goal of enhancing maritime safety. The company also engages in Bunker Fuels Trading activities.
Almabit is a company 100% controlled by Alma Petroli committed to supporting businesses in their qualification, innovation, and organization process. It also works to address challenges related to road works, while safeguarding both the environment and safety.

Vetting
inspections
and Screening
Since 2017, we have adopted a Vetting Acceptance Policy to ensure that all vessels chartered or operated by Alma Petroli comply with strict minimum safety standards.
In November 2019, we became an OCIMF SIRE Submitting Member and began conducting SIRE (Ship Inspection Report Programme) inspections. Our goal is to promote safer navigation, particularly for the transport of dangerous goods, such as crude oil, petroleum products, chemicals, and gases.
With a constant focus on protecting human life and the environment, vetting activities aim to mitigate risks associated with maritime transport, including pollution, explosions, and other incidents.
Since May 1, 2021, Alma Services has been responsible for managing and continuously improving all vetting activities.
In addition, we provide screening services, including documentary verification that tankers comply with international standards and the acceptance policies of the refining companies that hire us.
Bunker
fuels trading
Alma Services has launched a bunker fuel trading business with the aim of offering efficient, reliable, and competitive services in the global market.
The business involves purchasing bunker fuels from qualified producers for ship refueling, ensuring product quality, compliance with regulations, and timely delivery in Italy and abroad.
Thanks to its network of international partners and in-depth knowledge of the shipping industry, Alma Services is able to operate with a worldwide perspective, providing customized solutions based on the specific needs of shipowners and maritime operators.
